As an affiliate of msn.com, Caring.com receives over 600,000 hits per month, and their numbers are growing. Caring.com offers a wide range of information for caregivers, from money and legal matters to medical concerns and housing challenges to end-of-life issues. Shelly is the Christian faith expert for Caring.com, responding to readers’ questions from across the nation.

The mission of Music for the Soul is to change lives through the healing power of songs and spoken words that resonate with human experience and reflect the redemptive love of Jesus. Founded by Dove Award winner and winner of Christian Songwriter of the Year Steve Siler, Music for the Soul has created a wide-ranging variety of projects that target issues that are often difficult for the church to address: pornography, children with special needs, eating disorders, suicide, breast cancer, as well as other topics.

Shelly serves as an advisory board member for Music for the Soul in conjunction with the Dignity project, a CD, DVD, and documentary providing soul-care, nurturing, and encouragement for both caregivers and care receivers. Daughters of Destiny is a full-circle ministry offering women inmates a new life fully transformed through Christ-centered relationships and biblical truth. As a full-circle ministry, Daughters of Destiny provides evangelism and discipleship opportunities to women behind bars and directs them to Bible-believing churches and mentoring relationships upon their release.

Shelly is a national speaker for Daughters of Destiny and presents seminars on her book The Silent Seduction of Self-Talk: Conforming Deadly Thought Patterns to the Word of God in prisons across the nation. In each prison where she speaks, Shelly donates approximately 100 copies of her book to be shared by the inmate population.
